This type of filter is less commonly used in automotive companies and is generally used for household air purifiers. Some automotive companies have taken the lead in using HEPA filters, which actually add filtration and reduce some viruses and bacteria on the basis of activated carbon filters. The style is similar to that of activated carbon filter elements. Some merchants use the guise of HEPA filter elements to increase prices. Consumers cannot judge from their appearance, so they must pay attention to discrimination. Qualified manufacturers need to be certified by a formal testing laboratory and have a testing report to be effective.

3.Location of air conditioning filter element

Generally, for vehicles with only internal air conditioning filter elements, the filter element is located behind the passenger glove box and needs to be replaced by loosening the glove box, or by probing upwards under the glove box and removing the screws to see the air conditioning filter element grid. Simply replace it

4、 Selection and precautions of air conditioning filter

1. According to the size, the shape, quantity, and position of the corresponding air conditioning filter vary depending on the brand and model. It is important to find the appropriate air conditioning filter for the vehicle

2. Choose a good category, and according to the classification mentioned earlier, you can choose and purchase it yourself. Suggest choosing an activated carbon filter element

3. The filter element with a large dust capacity can filter more impurities and increase the service life of the filter element

4. Some air conditioning filters have a certain moisture-proof effect, and some have a frame design to ensure that the filter absorbs moisture from the air and is not easily deformed due to moisture. Vehicles in coastal cities should pay attention to this point

5. Buying genuine and shoddy products often results in unpleasant odors from filter paper or fiber layers due to poor materials, which can cause discomfort for drivers and passengers

6. It is not recommended to use an air gun to blow the activated carbon filter element. Firstly, the activated carbon has no filtering effect after saturation, and secondly, the high-pressure air gun may blow off the activated carbon particles and affect the filtering effect

5、 Air conditioning filter replacement cycle

It is recommended to replace the single inner core, single outer core, or dual core filter element every year or 20000 kilometers

Of course, for areas with severe weather pollution and frequent haze, as well as those with high frequency of use by susceptible populations or elderly and children, the replacement time should be appropriately shortened and the replacement frequency should be increased
